Learn to cook (with Canadian Beef) for your family’s health
Cooking is good for the soul and it’s also good for your family’s health. A home cooked meal made with fresh in-season vegetables and powerful protein (like Canadian Beef) is one of the best strategies for healthy eating — at any stage of life.
We can always learn to cook beef better — after 12+ years of cooking with beef, what I know is this: that there is still more that I don’t know!
Here’s what beef shoppers have told us:
- 70% want to improve their beef cooking skills
- Half will be reluctant to buy beef cuts that they don’t know how to cook
- And our global intelligence in other markets, have found that global cooks are eager to learn ‘Canadian’-style cuisine when it comes to beef
So in an effort to help out, here’s what we’ve been up to:
- A «life-stage pilot project» with newlywed’s Megan and Kevin Peplow as they learn to cook as a couple («Newlyweds and Newly Fed»). With staggered work schedules and limited cooking know-how, it’s tough to figure out how to get the best out of your kitchen and your groceries.
- In China, we’ve been working with the ABC Cooking Schools as an outreach to youth – families wanting to learn to cook together.
- As the newly opened Centre of Excellence is the heart of (beef centric) culinary excellence and knowledge, we’ve just posted a series of YouTube culinary videos to help cook all beef cuts.
- The Roundup app makes it easy to get buying and cooking know-how at the grocery store – just where you need it!
What would you like to see as a way to learn more about cooking with Canadian Beef?? – an on-line cooking school, a webinar lesson from the Centre of Excellence, a briefing on kitchen essentials, a Cooking Help Hotline? Let us know your wish list in the comment box below. We’d love to hear from you!
